Development Fund Auction
The Development Fund (DF) was established in 1981 to aid veterinary faculties in disadvantaged countries, especially by improving the conditions of study, thus fulfilling the Association’s aim of “raising the overall standard of veterinary education”. Since then assistance has been sent to many faculties throughout the world - in recent years these have included Zambia, Lithuania, Tanzania, Sarajevo, La Habana, Wroclaw and many, many more.
At the congress we are going to organize the Development Fund Auction, with every participating country auctioning various items and participants buying them. Therefore bring along books, posters … anything that you can think of and can be sold and our Development Fund team will make sure for another unforgettable event at the congress. The money raised goes of course to the IVSA Development Fund Project, and is used to help a university from an underdeveloped country.
This is a BIG EVENT! And you need to be prepare for it ;-)
We ask that EVERYONE brings something to sell in the silent auction.
Some more ideas:
* Anything with your school's name or logo on it,
* Things that are traditionally from your country,
* Things we can eat (or DRINK),
* Things to wear,
Etc, etc :)
